Costumed kook in a creepy cloak
Made up from a dim dream when I awoke
Looking through the looking glass
I saw my true face staring from behind a mask

Then a witch put the hex on me

It was the dark day of Halloween
I dressed a ghoulish little creature with a face of green
A black cat crossed a leafy street
Sharpening his claws while taunting me
Doors open up from the bell’s ring
I heard, ‘Just who are you supposed to be?’
It’s only me, a spooky readymade
Took an apple out and found a razor blade

Then a witch put the hex on me

I still donned the duds made up from my dream
‘The day is done!’ the skeptic screams
But I’m out stunting, haunting, and hellraising
